Allie Horwitz joined the firm as an associate in October 2024. Ms. Horwitz’s practice includes civil rights, environmental, and fees related litigation. Before joining TPM, Ms. Horwitz worked at AARP Foundation where she advocated for older adults in both litigation and amicus briefs related to housing, retirement benefits, healthcare access, and voting rights. Ms. Horwitz also has worked as a public defender in both Maryland and New Hampshire. Immediately following law school, Ms. Horwitz clerked on the Michigan Supreme Court.
Ms. Horwitz graduated from Amherst College with a B.A. in Psychology in 2012 and received her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 2019. At Michigan, Ms. Horwitz was a student attorney in the Juvenile Justice Clinic and an executive editor of the Michigan Journal of Race & Law. She received awards for Outstanding Pro Bono Project, Excellence in Pro Bono Service, as well as the Jane L. Mixer Award for Outstanding Commitment to Social Justice.
Ms. Horwitz is an active member of the LGBTQ Bar Association.
